If you are interested in selling gold jewelry, selling dental gold, or selling platinum jewelry, here’s how the process works …
- First, please
contact us
with information about the jewelry you're interested in selling.
- For gold jewelry, we’ll need to determine the percentage of pure gold (karatage) in your items. To do this, we can usually find an imprinted stamp, or hallmark, on each item. For example, an 18 karat gold bracelet would be stamped with an 18k stamp.
- We’ll also ask for an approximate weight of your jewelry items. If you have a kitchen scale, you can use it to determine the total weight. If not, then a brief description or list of your items will be a good start.
- If you’re having any trouble getting this information, please don’t worry. We will work with you to easily determine this information.
- We'll then provide a free quote of the estimated value for your jewelry. This will represent our tentative offer to purchase your items, pending visual inspection.
- If you like our offer, you can then schedule an appointment to bring your jewelry into our office. If preferred, you can also mail your items, insured and registered, directly to us. (Your shipping costs are reimbursed when selling to Taber Numismatics.)

- When your items are delivered, we'll perform a free, professional appraisal, and communicate this value to you. This appraised value will represent a firm offer to purchase your items.
- If you accept the offer, we'll then immediately provide you with a company check as payment. (Certified checks are also available upon request.) This will include reimbursement for any shipping charges you paid to get your jewelry to us.
- If you reject the offer, we'll thank you for your time, and hope to be of service to you in the future. (For those that mailed in their items, we’ll pay the return postage, with insurance, to get them back to you immediately.)
